AFA Gallery

The AFA Gallery began in 1988 by local artists who wanted to create a network in NEPA. A meeting place was created where artists could get together to discuss their thoughts and ideas. Actually, AFA stands for “Artists for Art”. Their mission is simply to present the work of local artists, to raise awareness for the arts and to provide services for local artists.
Members of this group have raised money for the St. Francis Kitchen, coordinated an art lecture series at the Scranton Children’s Library and founded the Riverworks Show. Amidst all of this hard work and dedication, members of the AFA Gallery have found the time to participate in First Friday on a very regular basis.
Thank you, AFA Gallery, for your support and for keeping art alive!
