The Vintage Theater is dedicated to the cultivation and showcase of both the visual and performing arts in the greater Scranton area. It is their firm belief that the arts are more than recreation, they are necessary for any city to thrive. They strive to stimulate the creativity and the economy of the community with both charitable fundraising and support of regional artists and performers. Talent (and patrons) of any age or experience level are always welcomed within their humble venue!
The Vintage strives to work with new and engaging artists of all mediums and genres. For that reason, The Vintage will present an entire exhibit inspired by the style of Steam-punk (a term coined by author K.W Jeter). This exhibit (originally slated in the Vintage’s old home for July) will now occur in the new location for the month of October. No matter what the medium or size – any and all works of Steampunk style are welcomed!
SUBMISSION INFORMATION: All artists who have works of any medium that fit under the umbrella of steampunk are encouraged to submit. Please e-mail photos of the works, a brief artist bio. and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail images/information to 326 Spruce Street, Scranton PA, 18503 (digital submissions preferred). Deadline for submission is September 28th, 2012.
EXHIBIT INFORMATION: The exhibit will open October 5th 2012 as part of First Friday Scranton. The work will remain on display during The Vintage’s open gallery hours through October 30th, 2012. Arrangements for delivery / pick up will be made upon being confirmation of works acceptance.
