What got you into creating art? I just naturally was drawn to it. I did my first painting in 4th grade and haven’t stopped since.

What work do you most enjoying doing? Abstract always, it’s so much fun to play with texture.

What’s your favorite artwork? Actually Andy Warhol’s soup can because it’s an amazing example of art and advertising and how the two work together

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given? If god gave you a talent what makes you think you can deprive the world of it

What inspires you? Everything does…both positive and negative emotions

Favorite artists? Jackson Pollock, I once drove 4 hours just to see an exhibit on how they are working to preserve his pieces

What do you enjoy about First Friday? I love see the new artists and the community coming together

Where do you see your art going in the next year? This year I’m spend a ton of time on drawing and trying to bridge that gap between whimsical and grotesque, I enjoy the balance.
