Rolfe Ross is a largely self-taught photographer, having photographed most seriously for the last forty years.  His primary interests are social documentary and street photography – “I have found photography to be a very satisfying way to discover and document the never ending encounters with all the varieties of humanity one finds on the street.”
ROLFE ROSS IN COLOR showcases his most recent digital color street photography.  “I have learned that some photographs are meant to be seen in black and white and some images are meant to be seen as the color images they were when shot.”
Ross has studied with mentors: Mary Ellen Mark, Alex Webb, Antonin Kratochvil, Eugene Richards, Larry Fink, Constantine Manos and Elizabeth Opalenik.
